How to Order Instawall Murals

Basic Tutorial

Step 1.

tutorial-1-upload

Choosing one of your own photographs

Click “upload your own image” box and select any jpeg stored on your computer.
Check that your jpeg has a high enough resolution to be blown up as big as the wall without losing its focus and sharp edge, and then go to step 3 below.

OR

Choosing an image from our extensive image library

Click the “chose from gallery” box and choose a category
With 20 Instawall categories to choose from, the simplest way to narrow down your search for the perfect mural for your room is to select a category, click it and choose from the visuals in that category. You have a choice of scenic, nature, abstract surfaces and 17 more categories and you are welcome to inspect as many categories as you wish – just move the cursor up or down on the category list.

Step 2.

Choose your wall art and click “select this image”.
Choose a brilliant photograph or graphic that inspires you, relaxes you or opens up exciting new decorating possibilities.

Step 3.

Crop the shot to fit your wall

Select the crop option and enter the height and width of your wall in centimetres, then scroll down to see how it fits on your wall. In most cases, the mural will fit your wall perfectly as is, but if the wall is narrower or shorter than average you may need to crop one or both sides or the top and bottom to get it to fit. The crop tool shades the areas of the visual to be removed in grey – but you can move the image left or right or up or down within the corrected size area.

Step 4.

See it in a simulated room setting

View a simulation of the mural with stylised furniture superimposed for a
bedroom, living room, nursery or office environment. (Of course it will look even better with your own carefully chosen furniture and decor in place, but this will give you an idea of how the mural looks in a room).

Step 5.

Place your order and check out.

(Or choose special effects – see advanced tutorial below)

If you are happy with the original full colour wall art and have sized it for your wall, you are ready to order. You can confirm your measurements and check the final look of your mural before placing your order on line. All prices include delivery by Australia post anywhere in Australia and each mural is supplied with an installation diagram, printed instructions and a squeegee, micro fibre dust cloth and cutting knife at no extra cost.

Step 7.

Adjust contrast and brightness if desired

This could be a useful option if you are using one of your own jpegs and would like to make the colours more intense, but you can also use it on the library images if you wish
